Gentz Reclaims The Top Spot

The Curaçaoan superband Gentz has reclaimed its position as the most played music act on the Skempi Top 40. Their single “Kruel” has recently experienced a resurgence in popularity and this helped the band knock Skempi heavy hitters Rudy Plaate and BRIAN D out of the batting cage at the top.

And the band brought a fresh face along in the form of Top 40 newcomer Bizzey, whose remix to the Dutch Caribbean hit “Traag” – which features Ogri, Chaika and Dongo – almost instantaneously shot to the number 2 spot. In other chart news the single “Komehein” by fellow Curaçaoan superband Dreams is also making moves in Skempi’s top 10, coming at number 8 this week.

In addition to this Jeon is quietly and dominating the top 10 with no less than two singles currently in the top 5 – “Bidi Knj” at the number 3 position and the once again heavily played “Superhero” at the number 5 position.
