Making his mark on the Caribbean music scene verse by verse is the St.Maarten born Curaçaoan rapper/ songwriter/ producer Raghmin.  Born Raghmin Shayn Adriana (1994), he wanted to keep his artist name simple and thus the mononym ‘Raghmin’.

He first broke on to the scene at the age of fourteen with the hit single “Dikon Ba Bai”. Since then his popularity has soared ever higher with the release of the smashes “Djis Un Bia Mas”, written following the end of a relationship, and “Mi Fayo”, written as a form of contrition for a past deed. In 2015 he released the single “Back It Up”, the lyrics of which are based on an incident in which he and a friend got to know a female at a nightclub, and this one also became a smash.

As an artist he is as eclectic as he is authentic, dabbling in the genres of Rap and R&B, Zouk, Kizomba and even Rock, and putting verses on the page based on occurrences that have either happened to him or a close friend. He aims to only write down lyrics that are true to life and to ease his listeners into finding common ground with the message he is relaying in his songs.

Additionally, he is a firm believer that success as a rap artist is far more sustainable when achieved through one’s own hard work and perseverance instead of relying on features by more famous artists by which one might end up being overshadowed. His dearest ambition is to further contribute to the music industry on Curaçao and see more unity among the local musicians.
