Raíz Urbana

Raíz Urbana is a Colombian band that mixes Hip-Hop with elements of Reggae, Jazz, Blues and Funk. They blend these rhythms wonderfully with distinctive voices and lyrics resounding in the positive influences of love, social critique and every day realities.

They carry a message of music and consciousness transmitted to every mind and heart fortunate enough to be graced with their sound.

Among the many venues where they left a lasting impression with their performances is the 2011 Festival Internacional De Arte y Cultura Ricardo Nieto, the 2011 Festival BNL2, the 2012 Zalama Extravagancia, the 2013 Vive Fest as well as the Mamut Fest.

They also performed at the 2014 edition of Festival Internacional De Arte y Cultura Ricardo Nieto, the 2015 International Day of Human Rights celebrations in Cali, the 2015 national Hip-Hop festival Hip Hop Al Parque in Bogotá.

And of course they also graced the stage at the first ever Mono Festival in 2015, the 2015 UNIROCK 7, where they also won the National Exchange prize the previous year,  and the 2016 MINEC congress in San Andrés. Another prize they won was the Urban award at the Metropolis Compartiendo Territorios in 2013.
