Stoner is a ‘power trio’ band from Havana, Cuba. They began playing in 2012 and their lineup consists of Osmar Gomez Simanca on drums, Angel Daniel on bass, and Tiago Felipe on guitar and lead vocals. Felipe is also the songwriter and main arranger of the band.

Their musical style draws influence from bands such as Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Dream Theater and Buried in Verona, giving them a sound which mixes Metal Core with elements of Progressive Metal.

The band has played at many concerts and festivals across Cuba, giving an especially distinct performance at the Festival Internacional Patria Grande 2015. There they shared the stage with famous Latin Rock bands like Carajo (from Argentina) and Sinergia (from Chile). They have also won some of the most prestigious awards for Rock bands in the Caribbean. Namely; Premio Lucas in 2013, Premio Cuerda Viva in 2014 and 2016 and Premio Cubadisco in 2014.

It’s worth noting that Stoner is an evocative representation of do-it-yourself attitude when it comes to their musical production as their music is recorded in Tiago Felipe’s own recording studio, V-Day Records. Felipe also produces everything which has to do with audiovisual and visual media when it comes to the band.
