The Dance Steps that Launched a Dream

The Dance Steps that Launched a Dream

If you’re having a bad day, this clip is sure to change your tune. It begins with the Caribbean Naomi Silvanie waking up in her bed and putting a story together on her iPad and then cuts to a young man waiting to take the stage.

The subsequent images alternate between the young man’s flashback to when he was a young boy dealing with a setback he faced as a budding dancer and Naomi Silvanie in her apartment belting out one uplifting verse after another with her powerful voice and putting the finishing touches on her story about a boy. In the end both she and the young man take the stage in seemingly alternate realities.

The video is all positivity with a dash of mystery; is the boy who persevered and achieved his goals as a young man real or a character in Naomi Silvanie’s story playing out in her head?

The question is made superfluous, however, by the poignancy of the message: Yes, life may give you disappointments and may make you feel like you’re not up to par at times, but if you keep your focus regardless and continue to work hard at your ambitions, you will get your shining moment on a stage.
