Reggae Music is Back on Top of the Charts with This Song!

The first fifteen seconds are an auto-tune and vocoder heavy electronic rendition of the song over alternating scenes of a crowd surfer on top of a partying crowd, during the release-party for their debut album ‘Droppin’ The Candy’, and the band beachside at Scheveningen in the Hague (where the video was also shot). That already draws you in. The ensuing explosion of sunny sound then envelops you.

You can’t help but be infected by the band’s fun chemistry and the free and easy nature of the lead singer (a native of Aruba). Complimented by further scenes of an indoor concert and masterful visual effects, it is a treat for the eyes.

The video gives you a nice view of F.A.S.T. (Free Architecture Surf Terrain) Surf Village and Scheveningen, both in the Hague, and the setting coalesces perfectly with the horns, strings, drums and mellow vocals of this bright summer jam.

And it all looks nice and toasty, doesn’t it? Well, bear in mind that it was shot in October in the Netherlands, folks. Not exactly, Miami weather over there during that time of year. It was about 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit) and the band members were freezing!

But they somehow made it work and no less thanks to the work behind the camera of Roderick Patijn, Maarten Slooves, Laguz Productions, Georgi Tsobekhia and Sian Hiriart-Urruty along with the final edit by Rens van Rijn, a warm ambiance was created that will put an extra bounce in your step.
